Pole Dancer - (2019)
I Wanted to do something purely figurative, with a strong sense of mood and narrative - like Degas' ballerinas, but fully naked and heavily tattooed.
The idea was to create this indomitable heroine who would float above her surroundings. I envisioned two or three crass looking dudes seated around the table, and my plan was to make different versions of her in various poses on the pole, all with her casting her eyes to the aether in a kind of state of grace.

I got overwhelmed by the logistical challenge and moved on to something else, but One of these days I'll pick it back up. I think she deserves her own series.
